Quote For The Weekend

"Excess is out of fashion."
The president held himself up as an example, saying that he had not yet renovated the Oval Office and was still using George W. Bush's furniture, even noting the stains on the carpet. He urged the banks to show comparable "constraint and responsibility," adding that the nation had undergone a cultural shift.

Obama is the perfect example of fiscal conservatism. Except he was wrong about the carpet stains. Everyone knows that those stains are from the Clinton administration. Not all of them made it on the blue dress.

More examples of constraint and responsibility:

Wagyu steak dinners.

The $160 million inauguration.

And the "American Recovery and Reinvestment Act", better known as The Stimulus Package.

  1. Don't forget the fact that he takes Air Force One out to run errands... I don't really remember a President using Air Force One to fly home for a "date" on Valentine's Day.

He's the model of restraint and frugality.
