The New Age Of Transparency that Barack Obama promised on November 3rd, 2008 came with an expiration date: January 20th, 2009.

To try to speed final passage and get the bill to President Obama’s desk, House and Senate Democrats intend to bypass traditional procedures when they negotiate a final compromise on health care legislation, officials said yesterday, a move that will exclude Republican lawmakers who have vowed to block the bill.

Not even C-Span will be allowed to televise what is going on.

And the GOP is locked out of the negotiations. What about that unheralded age of bipartisanship that Candidate Barack promised? Oh yeah, it expired along with the transparency.
