If It Takes A Village To Raise A Child Then What Does Burning A Village Do?

To someone, somewhere, this all made sense.

“They said if we hesitated they would shoot us,” said William Bakeshisha, adding that he hid in his coffee plantation, watching his house burn down. “Smoke and fire.”

But in this case, the government and the company said the settlers were illegal and evicted for a good cause: to protect the environment and help fight global warming.
