Webb Is Out:? Updated With Appropriate Musical Number!

One Term Jim Webb is looking to retire.

Or as I read between the lines, Webb's chances for reelection are between slim and none.

Not sure who is going to step up for the Democrat Party to run just yet.

It's tough to imagine Democrats having trouble fielding a candidate to replace Webb. Democrats had a rotten 2009 and a rotten 2010 in Virginia, and they're fighting uphill to hold the State Senate this year. But former Gov. Tim Kaine, now DNC chairman (yes, he presided over those bad years), only ruled out a bid when failure to do so would have fired up speculation about Webb.

Forgive me for failing to do this earlier:

Jim Webb Feeling The Heat?

LINKED: Over at The Daily Gator who has more about Barney Frank wanting to step back from 'Health Care Reform' as well.

Previously:

Maybe he's realizing that yeah, the current health care bill is a turd sandwich the Democratic controlled Congress was going to shove down the throats of America.

Sen. Jim Webb (D-Va.) said the upper chamber shouldn't move forward with healthcare or any other bills until Brown is sworn in.

"In many ways the campaign in Massachusetts became a referendum not only on health care reform but also on the openness and integrity of our government process," Webb said in a statement. "To that end, I believe it would only be fair and prudent that we suspend further votes on health care legislation until Senator-elect Brown is seated."

Or did he realize just how much at risk he is and trying to save his job?

Don't Allow Webb The Cover

BUMPED AND UPDATED:

Tell Jim Webb – Don’t Be Reid’s 60th Vote

The old post follows below:

Do not let Sen. Webb pull a John "I voted for the bill before I voted against it" Kerry.

The Senate needs 60 votes for cloture. After cloture happens, all the Senate will need is 51 votes to pass the health care bill.

Simply put:

Count Webb as a Democratic "yes" vote on cloture for ObamaCare, although his vote on final passage of the bill is purely a function of whether Harry Reid needs him to get to 51 (which is unlikely). Either way, if challenged about his votes in 2012, his votes on various amendments provide him with a chance to play it both ways.

Let Sen. Webb know that you know how the game is played. A vote for cloture is a vote for the bill. Whether he voted for the final passage of the bill or no.

From The Code Red Protest: The View From Jim Webb's Office

UPDATED: Linked by Citizen Tom.

Sen. Jim Webb's Chief of Staff, Paul Reagan is doing the part of the job which he hates. Meeting with the citizens of Virginia.

I have not had a chance to view all of these except the last one. Posted them as soon as I had the link.

There's a couple of times there where Reagan and someone (not sure who) tries to blow some smoke before getting shot down en mass by every one in the room. Which is a good thing. People are paying more attention to what is going on and learning the facts and not being dependent on the elected officials for their info. Make those public servants accountable.

Thanks to Daren and Jim.
