Video: Allen West's Response To John (Who Served In Vietnam) Kerry's Statement On The "Tea Party Downgrade"

Late Friday, Standard & Poor downgraded the country's credit and like clockwork, the usual suspects came out and blamed the Tea Party for it. Even a moron was able to foresee this.

What happened with the Tea Party was rhetoric. No bills passed with the full support of the Tea Party faction in Congress. The budget that finally was passed and was signed by Obama was a bipartisan bill.

That is what S & P was responding to. It's asinine to think otherwise. Which explains John Kerry.

Which brings us to today with Rep. Allen West.

My favorite take away from the clip? When West is talking about Timothy Geithner: "When you open that refrigerator door, the lights don't come on."

John Kerry (who served in Vietnam) is shoveling the usual crap Democrats like to do. He's voted in the past to increase spending time and time again and when the over-spending catches up with him, he cries out that taxes need to be raised to keep up. It's disingenuous and disgusting but what do you expect out of guy who dumps his rich wife for an even richer wife?

The Camp of the Saints has a pretty good round up about just Who is John At-Fault, including this from Protein Wisdom:

That the establishment GOP seems feckless in its attempts to get its message across is part of the Big Government kabuki dance: neither Republicans or Democrats who have become part of the career ruling class have any real desire to shrink government. The Republicans are willing to slow its growth occasionally — and they do believe in lower taxes; but as the Bush years should have taught us, they’re just as willing to spend as the Democrats, because giving gifts with other people’s money — and being praised for it — is the absolute easiest form of cheap grace on earth.

The entire establishment political class is corrupt. And it has declared open war against those Americans still left who believe in fiscal responsibility and a constitutional check on federal powers. Both the establishment Republicans and the Democrats (and their ancillary and parasitic attendants in the media and the inside-the-beltway political machinery) have shown themselves immediately willing to scapegoat the one anti-big government faction willing to insist on making the difficult choices necessary to save the country from the bloated, cynical, complacent pig class who presumes to run it in our name — though never in the way we wish. And that’s because party doesn’t really matter any longer, as I’ve been saying for years now.

The Rumors Of Rep. Allen West's Apology Are Greatly Exaggerated

A follow up to Allen West's email to Debbie Wasserman-Schultz from yesterday.

West is standing firm.

Rep. Allen West (R) said he had no plans to apologize to fellow Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D) for a strongly worded email he sent to the congresswoman.

“That is not happening,” West said Thursday on Fox Business Network. “This is a pattern I referred to in that email that goes back to 2010. Finally I think I have the right to stand up and defend my honor and make sure that this type of activity does cease. I sent her a private email, she decided to make it public by releasing it to the news media.”

I think it was a caller to Rush Limbaugh yesterday who said that it would make a great visual if all the Tea Party Freshmen women in the House make a 'Stand With West' statement or something like that. Rather than have the Republican leadership leave him hanging in the wind.

The Character Assassination Of Allen West By The Coward Debbie Wasserman-Schultz

There is some history between Allen West and Debbie Wasserman-Schultz. Wasserman-Schultz has gone after West before in the days before the 2010 election. Claiming-- as they lie about pretty much all Republicans that challenge Democrats-- that he is anti-woman and other lies (Thanks to Jackstraw for finding the link):

U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Weston, headlined a protest march Friday outside the Deerfield Beach campaign headquarters of Allen West, the Republican candidate in a neighboring district.

She charged that West, who is seeking to unseat U.S. Rep. Ron Klein, D-Boca Raton, is associated with vicious, degrading attitudes toward women.

The evidence: A West-written column that appears in a biker magazine called Miami Mike’s Wheels on the Road, which calls itself the “South Florida Biker’s Bible.” The publication which contains many racy pictures, and even more racier words, lists West as a contributing writer.

In the October 2010 issue, West’s column “Washingtoons” appears on page 20. Another column, on page 40, says the upcoming election is the time to get rid of “Barry Obongo,” and asks readers to imagine having sex with Wasserman Schultz.[Emphasis Mine]

So it's personal to her.

No matter what her reasons, she waited until he left the assemble before she all but named him in an dishonest smear.

Not just smears but regurgitated talking point after talking point.

West responds:

Look, Debbie, I understand that after I departed the House floor you directed your floor speech comments directly towards me. Let me make myself perfectly clear, you want a personal fight, I am happy to oblige. You are the most vile, unprofessional ,and despicable member of the US House of Representatives. If you have something to say to me, stop being a coward and say it to my face, otherwise, shut the heck up. Focus on your own congressional district!

I am bringing your actions today to our Majority Leader and Majority Whip and from this time forward, understand that I shall defend myself forthright against your heinous characterless behavior……which dates back to the disgusting protest you ordered at my campaign hqs, October 2010 in Deerfield Beach.

You have proven repeatedly that you are not a Lady, therefore, shall not be afforded due respect from me!

Rep. West also has my next bumper sticker slogan: I must confess, when I see anyone with an Obama 2012 bumper sticker, I recognize them as a threat to the gene pool.

'Nuff said.

Update
: Linked by the Camp of the Saints.

Update II: Donald Douglas at American Power has Debbie Wasserman-Schultz Alfred E. Newmann-atized. Needs to be seen to be understood.

Ben Smith has the full e-mail. Interesting enough he describes West as a Tea Party freshman but fails to describe Wasserman-Schultz as a progressive or liberal or anything like that at all. Smith also tries to taint West's email with the word 'Tirade' in the title. It didn't seem like a tirade at all but a well reasoned and thought out response to lying, backstabbing coward that is Debbie Wasserman-Schultz.

Video: Racist Tea Partier Disrupts African American's Town Hall Meeting

By racist tea partier I really mean failed Air America radio host trying to heckle Congressman Allen West at a townhall meeting.

I still stand by my charge of RAAAAACISM though. She is white, Rep. West is black. What else could it be?

The Schadenfreude comes in about the 3:30 mark.

Place Your Bets - 2012 GOP Candidates

Charles Krauthammer is my favorite political analyst and columnist currently. In his column today, he is giving odds for the Republican nominees in 2012. Here is a summary of the likely candidates:
  1. Mitt Romney: 5-1

  2. Tim Pawlenty: 5-1

  3. Mitch Daniels: 6-1

  4. Haley Barbour: 7-1

  5. Newt Gingrich: 12-1

  6. Michelle Bachmann: 20-1

  7. Donald Trump: Lions have a better chance at winning the Super Bowl
He mentions but doesn't give odds for those he believes aren't running - Sarah Palin and Mike Huckabee.

He does discuss the very deep 2016 bench. They are Paul Ryan, Chris Christie, Marco Rubio, and Nikki Haley. Personally, I would add Allen West and Bob McDonnell to his list.

So based on this list of Krauthammer's odds and my previous post of electoral college strategy, upon whom are you willing to place your bet?

It's Not Enough That A Republican Wins But The Right Kind Of Republican

One more Republican who lost his primary supports the Democrat. What was that about conservatives having to suck it up and support McCain two years ago? That doesn't work both ways.

David Brady -- the Republican who lost to West in the primary -- also endorsed Klein. West beat Brady by a landslide in the primary so his endorsement isn't a big boost to [U.S. Rep. Ron Klein (D-Boca Raton)]'s campaign -- though if the race is close every vote could count.

I've heard this tune several times this year. Charlie Crist, Arlen Spector, Lisa Madcowski, and-- he's not running on an independent bid or third party, he did take his ball and go home-- Mike Castle.

Brady lost out to Allen West. Excuse me, that's Lieutenant Colonel Allen West (US Army, Retired). Who once said about his mission in Iraq, "If it's about the lives of my men and their safety, I'd go through hell with a gasoline can".

So it boils down to a man accepting the endorsement from someone who has no honor (Ron Klein and David Brady) to a man who has honor in spades.

This should be an easy call.

"Promote The General Welfare, Not Provide Welfare"

The RNC needs to recruit more guys like this. Lieutenant Colonel Allen West is energetic, charismatic and understands liberty and how government works against that. And he's running for Congress in the 22nd district, Florida.

I'm about to buy a gun just to attach a bayonet to it right now.

This might be old but it's new to me. Thanks to Jim.
